Break through!

As an inevitable part of our engineering lives, like the phases of moon, the exam phase has just passed and do you know what, the performance (in the rapidly evaluated papers) is so doomed that prof has decided to take a retest on coming Monday, so in technical terms, after the "Krishna-Paksh"(Declining phase of moon), we are basically having a lunar eclipse to observe ahead!

What a mundane life! Sadness...
But this phase is definitely enjoyed by profs, every one having his own concepts or intentions! Epitome of a new completely inexplicable set of principles which a normal student (rather human being) can no way get!
So during the exams whenever the subject prof enters and leaves the exam hall, one has to observe the mix of expressions and body language he depicts! And trust me one always has enough time to observe these minute aspects during our papers, again thanks to our profs, they hardly give us a chance to write, sometimes it so happens that length of subjective answer is shorter than question! But believe me it is not our incapability to interpret the question, it is the "compact and to the point answering style" we learnt for our board exams!
And there exists many friends of mine who are good at elaborative style, these people are so good at convincing that they can write a two word answer in two pages starting from when and where did the word appearing in answer originated!

We had a really relaxed schedule of papers this time, just five papers in three days! Isn't it superb? Even then we failed to perform good in papers! Professor today asked repeatedly as to why this happened? The "ridiculous performance" was driving him crazy!
And no one had any answer. Was it a fault of prof? No, this one I do favor, our prof is a man of concepts.
So is it the fault of students that they are lazy enough to study? Again no!
Then what is at fault? Think and think, you will get an answer...PS: our batch is in no way a poor IQ batch but rather one with full of intellectuals.
Till then lets come back to main course, expressions on face of prof:
Let me summarize in brief:
He was not visible in between, he did appear in the start when students were gazing at the papers (and just gazing for first fifteen minutes as to where to start from)  and after  being convinced of the fact that he has been succeeded in setting a paper that can screw up the students fully, he left. When the clock stroke 4, time was up, papers were collected back and students, fully exhausted! He took a round, looking at the faces of individual students (may be recollecting at the back of his memory who all didn't attend his lectures), and passing a grin. Very proud of himself of having accomplished the mission of making students realize his power, authority and importance and once again we felt humiliated in public!(I am not using any of the terms we use in Engineering to describe such a situation)

And none of the description is self-created, the feelings I described were visible on his face! Who can expect such an immature behavior? I mean grow up! Why do they seek sadistic pleasure in inflicting pain on others!
They may have a stand but we do have ours!
You treat us as machines! We are never given enough time of living our lives! So much  preoccupied, we fail to recognize our own self sometimes and rather start questioning as to why am I even doing this course?
You know what, it is not the fault of anyone but rather the fault of the way our education is being structured!
We want to achieve perfection but it does not mean we should stop "living life"; finding time for ourselves, pursuing our hobbies along!

You want us to be dedicated, we would be! But tell me the fact are we really that short of days that we can't even  provide enough gaps between the papers for an average human mind to rest and come back to work!
Is it so that the fourth day won't come , we have to fix in all papers within these three days!
Is there any point in doing so? How can a human being even design such a schedule? Why are we always in a rush-rush zone, why don't we for a moment calm down and just have a glance of the direction towards which we are running so madly!
Just run, study study, what for? Is this our way of making fine human beings ? It is just leading to generation of a whole lot of frustrated and exhausted mob  who is more than happy with a mere job in hands!

The issue has been raised many a times, and it will keep raising until and unless we come back with a solution, but the repeated arguments over education structure definitely guarantees one thing it is really not upto our satisfaction!
Either it needs to be changed or the way we look at it needs to be changed!
There is no need for scheduling the entire life, give free time for our minds to roam around and explore creative imaginations !!!

  3. Which was this professor whom you have manifested as devil incarnated or rather which was this subject? Yes, I do agree that apart from a few of them, profs. are mundane!

P.S - Oh and sorry for deleting the previous comment, I did a typo :D
